Calvin Fuller and Tom Anderson are the original founders of Sandpoint Outfitters. The newest member of our team is Nick Bentley.

Calvin Fuller moved to Sandpoint, ID during the summer of 2004 after graduating from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Physics. After guiding in Alaska for four years, Calvin decided it was time to take the next step and open a fishing and hunting shop. Calvin has spent his entire life of 26 years around fishing and hunting. Calvin has competed in the fly fishing masters twice with his highest placement being 6th in the regional qualifier. During college Calvin also worked for a local fly shop in Bellingham, WA for five years and was manager for one year. Calvin’s true passion is, without a doubt, pursuing steelhead with a spey rod. Steelhead have taken him all over the United States and Canada in search of the best swing water on the planet.

Tom Anderson is an avid fisher and hunter who moved to Sandpoint in 1970. Tom worked at Schweitzer Ski Area on Ski Patrol from 1970 until 1978. After working on Ski Patrol, Tom managed the Alpine Shop from 1979-2000 and had as many as 12 people working under him. During the summer Tom worked as a boat mechanic for the Alpine Shop for several years. During the summer between 1986 and 1992 Tom worked in Alaska in both the commercial fishing industry and the sport fishing industry. From 2000 to 2005 Tom worked as the service advisor for the GM Cadillac dealership, Alpine Motors, in the town of Ponderay.

Nick Bentley moved to Sandpoint, ID in the fall of 2007 after graduating from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business with a B.S. in Finance. Nick came to Sandpoint to run sandpointoutfitters.com and get the business online. However he is no stranger to Sandpoint as he has visited several times hunting and fishing with his cousin and co owner of Sandpoint Outfitters, Calvin Fuller. Nick brings another perspective to the business as he is from Ohio, one of the best producing states for huge whitetail. Nick worked his way through college as a manager at R&R Sports Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio before moving out to Sandpoint. He has hunted for whitetail, waterfowl, turkey, rabbits, and pheasants as well as fished all over the U.S. and Canada. However for Nick, nothing beats hunting behind his beagle in hot pursuit of a rabbit.
