Fishing Report

Filed under: The Fishing Report — fishingreporter @ 8:39 am

Local Streams such as the CDA River have still been fishing very well.  The water is very low, but still cold.  Fishing hoppers throughout the day is a sure fire way to catch lots of fish.

The Kootenai River is fishing great right now.  The water is down to 7990 cfs and there are hopper everywhere.  Be sure to get out there and fish around Libby, MT and Troy, MT

STEELHEAD!!!!! are in the Clearwater River right now!  Fishing has been good for those A-Run fish.  Floating lines with smaller flies and intermediate lines are all working great right now.  Get down there before the water gets too warm.

Fishing Report

Fishing has been slowing down big time on Lake Pend Oreille there are few bass left in the shallow water and Jigging for Lake Trout is tapering off like it usually does this time of year.

The CDA River is around 430 CFS at Enanville.  Fish will be more looking for cooler more oxygenated water.  Mouths of creeks or faster, heavier, water will hold some larger fish.  Dries are still working good throughout the day.  Hoppers are now out in full force so be sure to tie one one.

Kootenai River is fishing well throughout the entire day now.  With flows at 12,000 cfs, we are in normal summer mode now.  PMD’s and Hoppers are on the main course this time of year.  The PMD’s get started later in the day, so be sure to hit up the hoppers then switch once the fish get keyed.Good Luck and Tight Lines
