Lake Pend Oreille

Lake Pend Oreille is one of the deepest lakes in the world with many secrets, not to mention home of the largest freshwater rainbow trout on the planet. With over 111 miles of shoreline and a depth of over 1100 feet, one could say that there are many areas left to be explored. Lake Pend Oreille has several tributaries rich with fish, the largest being the Clark Fork River. The main outlet for Lake Pend Oreille is the Pend Oreille River. Both the Clark Fork River and the Pend Oreille River are comparable in size and create homes to many species of fish. This Lake is also a great destination for any outdoor recreation including, boating, sailing, water skiing/wake boarding, fishing, and hunting. There are several restaurants and resorts located on Lake Pend Oreille offering the boater many places to stop and visit while out on the water.
